This application does not distribute, store or transmit any personal data. Furthermore, it only uses official Apple Inc. services that comply with the General Terms and Conditions of Use.

Features, collection of location data and possible costs

In the application ‚Pick me app‚ you have the possibility to generate a link which contains a text message and your location. You can send this manually to a contact you have predefined. The app itself does not send text messages. The location services must be activated in your mobile operating system, to send the location. You can undo this setting at any time in the settings of your device. Depending on the status of the device and weather conditions, GPS signals may vary or be inaccurate. It is recommended to check the exact location again before sending the Text Message to verify the pickup location.

Increased power consumption is possible when using GPS, which can release more heat depending on the device. We, the developers, are not liable for any damages resulting from this. If no GPS signal is available, the app will not work properly. We further assume no liability for damages resulting from non-functionality.

If you decide to send the generated message as well as your location via the SMS / MMS service, data roaming of your mobile phone provider, a valid GPS signal and and reception to your mobile phone provider must be available. Depending on the terms of the contract between you and your mobile phone provider, costs may arise at this point. Please check with your mobile phone provider to avoid costs (especially when using the service abroad).

Data collection and use.

Kind and purpose of the processing: In this application we use the offer of the Apple inc. internal service „Apple Maps“. This allows us to display interactive maps directly in the application and allows you to conveniently use the map function. Further information about data processing by Apple, please see Apple’s Privacy Notice.

Data from the contacts will only be processed in the app and will not be passed on to third parties.
